Hi, I’m ilaria.
I am art historian, writer, and public programs curator based in the UK. I hold a First Class Honours Degree in Art History and Film & Visual Culture (2017) from Aberdeen University, Scotland, and a Master’s degree in Art Theory (2020) from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
My research interests focus on exhibition studies, critical museology, and public engagement programs of historical heritage through feminist and critical race theories. Still, I have also written more broadly about lifestyle and culture, especially from my experiences as an expat.
I have worked for several institutions in Scotland and Canada assisting visitors’ experience and fostering community participation. I have been responsible for a variety of projects facilitating interdisciplinary work and the connection of various communities through the art gallery as a space for research and knowledge sharing. Currently, I work as Heritage Engagement Officer for Edinburgh Printmakers overseeing a programme of public events and activities centred on printmaking and reviving the industrial history of the West of Edinburgh.
Feel free to get in touch and request my full CV.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon!
